Voltage balancing in flying capacitor converter multilevel using space vector modulation

This paper proposes a technical space vector modulation (SVM) for three-level flying capacitor converter with only a single pai switching transitions between the vectors as well as the transitions between of each chosen sequence space vector diagram sectors. The algorithm also ensures the lowest number of commutations between threads and sectors which provides the reduction of commutations losses. The sequence vectors project step also took into account a good distribution of the PWM pulses, allowing to obtain a reduction of the harmonics. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the adopted strategy SVM.
