The application of the fuzzy sets theory to valuing cumulative labor potential of the region

The article considers the application of the fuzzy sets theory to valuing cumulative labor potential of the region. Input variables for assessment were determined on the basis of the “Society and market” component of the System of Regional Indicators (SRI). As a result the factors influencing the cumulative labor potential quality of the of the region were determined, a linguistic scale for estimating this aggregated indicator was formed, the proposed indicator was calculated for Far North region of the Russian Federation. The using of fuzzy logic for obtaining aggregated indicators of the socio-economic systems development allows including an expert assessments in the analysis, which is especially important in insufficiency or poor quality of statistical information. The cumulative labor potential can be used as one of indicators for monitoring the socio-economic development of the region.
