A method of olfactory display: Odor characterization and reproduction

In this study, we propose an odor display device based on the embedded control system, which can realize the reproduction display with different concentration ratio. At the same time, we propose a concept called odor characteristic spectrum (OCS), which is used to describe the odor characteristics of information and display. The odor characteristic spectrum contains four key factors, odor name, odor composition, odor concentration and temperature and relative humidity (RH). To examine the impact of odor characteristic spectrum (OCS) on odor display. We have configured the aroma-based ingredients of the five fruits for the odor display. In addition, 50 volunteer experience tests were conducted through odor display devices at different concentration ratios. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the test experience is the best when the odor concentration is 500ppm.
