Multi-Model Identification of Pumping System in ASTANK2 Plant

This paper introduces a multi-model approach for the identification of the pumping (water distribution) system in a two tank process, namely ASTANK2. An improved hill climbing algorithm is applied, in order to find the optimal structural indices of the identification models. A simulator that integrates the proposed numerical models and the analytical models developed in authors' previous work is implemented in MATLAB-SIMULINK environment. Its goal is to simulate the plant dynamics, according to various input scenarios, on one hand, and to validate the proposed model, on the other hand. Some simulation results are presented in the end.
