“Hard science” of psychology, physics of the mind

A new area of science is developed: psychology, following the methodology of physics. All areas of physics are developed following a similar methodology, which is discussed at the beginning of the paper. This methodology identifies few basic laws and their mathematical models. A mathematical model of the mind is developed from these basic laws, which describes perception, cognition, emotions, language and its interaction with cognition. Higher abilities for abstract thinking and emotions including the beautiful and musical emotions are mathematically modeled. A “hard science” of the psychology of the mind is developed; its principal aspects are mathematical models and experimentally testable predictions. Experiments verifying the predictions are described. Theoretical problems and experimental challenges for future research are discussed.
