MyRIO based mobile robot for rescue competitions

Labview and National Instruments hardware is used to measure, analyze and solve multiple Industry problems, mostly in small mechatronics systems or fixed manipulators. myRIO have been used worldwide in the last few years to provide a reliable data acquisition. While in Industry and in Universities myRIO is vastly used, Arduino is still the most common tool for hobby or student based projects, therefore Mobile Robotics platforms integrate Arduino more often than myRIO. In this study, an overall hardware description will be presented, together with the software designed for autonomous and remote navigation in unknown scenarios. The designed robot was used in EuroSkills 2016 competition in Sweden.
