Small wind generator system with non-inverting buck-boost converter and battery storage

A small wind generator system with a claw-pole permanent magnet synchronous generator and a non-inverting buck-boost converter has been modelled in this study. The system uses a battery as a storage device and for stabilization of the output voltage. The system was simulated with four different battery voltages and changing wind speed. The results from the study provide a basis for optimal choice of electrical generator, battery voltage and capacity and give possibility for further development.
