Design and system performance test of a kind of PLC with wireless communication function

The data exchanging between the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) is usually completed via wired network in the Distributed Control System (DCS). The wireless communication ZigBee technology is introduced in the design of a new kind of PLC to overcome the limits of the communication cable. The PLC with Micro Controller Unit (MCU) as the core has strong reliability and control ability. The reliability, temperature characteristics, voltage characteristics, input/output characteristics and communication characteristics of the PLC are tested according to the Chinese National Standard GB/T15969. The test results show that the reliability of PLC accords with the design requirement.
