Efficient low-cost storage strategy in multi-cloud

Cloud storage has become popular and important. It is reliable, cheap and easy to extend. However, the security of storing data into a single cloud is still unconvinced. One single cloud is also hard to satisfy different needs of users. Multi-cloud storage is a new architecture which can make storage decisions with intelligence. But the storage resource distribution of multi-cloud is always researched in the cloud end. In this paper, we propose an efficient low-cost storage strategy (ELSS) in multi-cloud for user end. This strategy stores the data into multi-cloud considering the bandwidth and price of cloud service providers. With evaluating the ELSS, the result shows that the storage strategy can reduce the time and costs for users.
