Non-orthogonal multiple access with buffer-aided cooperative relaying

In this paper, we propose a transmitter-selection based scheme in non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) network with buffer-aid relaying. We apply the buffer-aided tool in the user, which have better network condition, to increase the reliability of the NOMA network. Our proposed scheme selects a transmitter based on the channel quality and the buffer state of the relay. The Markov Chain (MC) model is adopted to analyze the buffer state transition properties. The average packet delay and the outage probability of the system is analyzed. Numerical results show that the NOMA relay system with buffering significantly outperform the system without buffering in the throughput analysis.
