Fold simulation and optimization based on Laplacian coordinates for clothing

With continued improvement of virtual reality technologies and rapid development of computer graphics, clothing simulation has attracted great attention as a subfield of graphics research. Efforts have been made by many researchers on this topic. In this paper, a study based on differential domain characteristics will be conducted to establish a one-to-one correspondence between spatial coordinates and differential coordinates, and then to accurately simulate clothing deformation effects by manipulating differential domain coordinates. This study focuses on the following three steps: First, a favorable differential domain framework is selected, a scalar field of suitable clothing simulation is established and the method is optimized. Then, various fold patterns of different clothing materials under the same manipulation is simulated. Finally, the solution speed and simulation results of the method are optimized.
