Real-time monitoring of partially stable slopes for Landslide prediction by using Wireless Sensor Networks

The development of Wireless Sensor Networks a cost effective solution for monitoring of partially stable slopes to predict Landslides, proposed to be deployed near Malin village near Pune Maharashtra where a massive Landslide occurred in July 2014 resulted in enormous loss of property and Human Life. In this paper we discuss about design and implementation of Energy efficient Wireless Sensor System for use in real-world scenarios with a novel approach. WSN System has been developed using low power WSN nodes and Labview software capable of monitoring Geological parameters like Soil Moisture, Acceleration, Tilt angle, intensity of rainfall etc..
