Application of integral equations for analysis of electrodynamic and thermal processes in electric drive

The paper discusses a new approach to analysis of processes in linear dynamic models of the electric drive systems. The use of this approach on the example of the active front-end rectifier and a thermodynamic model of the electrical machine is considered. It is shown that the proposed approach ensures certain advantages. Thus, the model of an active front-end rectifier in the form of a system of integral equations is suitable for estimation of discontinuous control and perturbation functions. In relation to the thermodynamic model, this approach may somewhat reduce computing time significantly using the proposed method for fast evaluation of the matrix exponential.
