A novel approach in information and communication technology combined with traditional practices for smart villages

The present scenario is facing rapid developments in information and communication technology (ICT), which makes a conventional village to smart village. Smart village is a national effort to co-create a future of better living for through ICT facets. The driving motivation behind the concepts on smart village is that the technology should enable education, to increase the local business along with the improvement in health and welfare, in short it must act as catalyst for development like electricity access, Renewable solar energy and water quality, food security of rural villages. Base line survey, provides an information that people are migrating to major Indian cities for a better life or opportunities and also for better life styles. Since the range of migration is predicted to be 25-30 person per minute it is expected that only 843 million people are expected to live in rural areas by 2050. Hence there is need to surmount this massive urbanization, India has to find a smarter way reduce expenses, increase efficiency to improve the quality of life and to manage complexities. The objective of smart village is to strap up the power of knowledge with technology to live in happy, clean, hygienic and self-sustained villages without economic or social inequalities.
