Resilient information management system for disaster situations

In this paper, a resilient information management (RIM) system for a network isolated environment after disasters is proposed. Using this system, people can manage and share various types of information including medical information, damaged area and map information, and supply/demand information. A RIM system is realized on a locally and quickly established WiFi network environment. Thus, the RIM system can work even if the Internet and communication network infrastructures collapse. This study introduces the concept of RIM system and its implementation-related issues followed by its current status and evaluations.
