Multisource Energy Harvesting for Low Power Applications

The paper aims at harvesting energy from different non-conventional sources which are inexpensively available in the environment. The sources include energy from vibrations, thermal variations and radio frequency (RF) radiations. An efficient Harvester system is designed to harness energy and store the combined available energy. The objective of this work is to use harvesting system in military, paramilitary and other defense systems as a secondary source to avoid inconvenience of power shortage in inaccessible locations. The simple design along with power management system has led to an increase in the reliability of this system. The power extracted from this system lies within the mill watt range. This power can be used for triggering ultra low power devices and the harvested energy could be stored in rechargeable batteries or cells and can be utilized later.
