Realising the business benefits of information technology [in electric utilities]

This paper addresses the challenges facing electric utilities that need to make massive capital investments in information technology (IT), and presents a framework for optimising the business value of those investments. In particular, it focuses on the investment portfolio approach for making the 'right choices' to information technology investments.
