Reports on the paper submission process for this publication which will require an Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) for all authors who submit papers to IEEE journals. For the record, an ORCID is a persistent and unique identifier for researchers that functions similarly to an article’s Digital Object Identifier (DOI). ORCIDs enable accurate attribution and improved discoverability of an author’s published work.
