The operational impact of gas/electricity interaction from the National Grid Company perspective

This paper describes the operational impact that the various types of gas supply interruptions can have on the electricity system and discusses the how NGC (UK) is able to manage these effects. It also discusses the role of gas-fired power generation in providing a flexible output profile in future years as coal plant is gradually displaced.
