Effect of widespread variation of distributed generation (DG) on the line performance of a radial distribution network

Nowadays, there is a big drive to reduce environmental pollution and energy security concern which in turn led to an increase in the use of renewable energy. Due to the penetration of these renewable energy to the power system, it experience drastic changes that affects its performance. This paper presents the impact of the dispersion levels of distributed generation (DG) on the line performance of the IEEE 34 bus radial distribution network. The study investigates the issues of voltage stability improvement and power loss reduction of the radial distribution network with DG.
