A control strategy of regenerative braking system for intelligent vehicle

In order to improve the energy efficiency of intelligent vehicle equipped with drive-by-wire system and braking safety. The mechanical and electric braking system of intelligent vehicle is analyzed by the theory of vehicle braking stability. Considering the characteristics of electric power generation, a regenerative braking control strategy is proposed, which can effectively distribute the braking force both in front and rear axle motors. By reducing the participation of mechanical braking, the motor of the front and rear axle of the vehicle is in a better state of power generation. That, to ensure the braking efficiency of the vehicle, more braking energy is recovered. The proposed control strategy is simulated and verified by MATLAB/SIMULINK and CARSIM software simulation. The simulation results show that the control strategy can effectively distribute the braking force and mechanical braking force of the front and rear axles, and obtain a better recovery effect of braking energy.
