Research on the recognition of isolated Chinese lyrics in songs with accompaniment based on deep belief networks

Lyrics are an important part of songs. Lyrics recognition is the basis of retrieving songs and recognizing the content of songs, which is of great value. At present, the research of speech recognition has made great progresses. But there are still difficulties in recognition of lyrics in songs with accompaniment. Related research is generally lacking, especially for Chinese lyrics in songs with accompaniment, and the recognition accuracy rate is low. This paper establishes a Chinese lyrics database, which applies deep belief networks (DBN) to recognize Chinese isolated lyrics in songs with accompaniment and makes some progresses. In our experimental results, the recognition accuracy is about 45%.
