Detection of nonlinear frequency division multiplexed path-averaged solitons

In this paper, we study the detection of 3-eigenvalue nonlinear frequency division multiplexed (NFDM) path-averaged solitons after their propagation from one 50-km to three 50-km spans of standard single mode fiber (SSMF) with coherent detection. Based on the recently developed nonlinear Fourier transform (NFT), the eigenvalues of NFDM average solitons are calculated by using Ablowitz-Ladik algorithm. Simulation results show that the location of eigenvalues is robust to the variation of both the signal power and the fiber length to a certain extent.
