Design and implementation of S-Band MIMO FMCW radar

This paper addresses design and implementation of S-Band MIMO FMCW radar with polarization diversity. Our proposed radar system will send two FMCW chirp signals with different polarity to detect a single object at a close range to get the range information from the beat frequency. The data acquisition process is carried out using sound card and processed by Matlab. Our MIMO FMCW radar prototyped is working well at frequencies between 2 GHz and 2,4 GHz. Resolution range of the system is 37,5 cm and it has low transmitter power with a value of 18,5 dBm.
