The Birth of a New and Unique Journal: IEEE Transactions on Radiation and Plasma Medical Sciences

It is my great pleasure as the first Editor-in-Chief to write this editorial for the inaugural issue of the IEEE Transactions on Radiation and Plasma Medical Sciences (TRPMS). This journal has been in the making for the last few years with the efforts of numerous actors within the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences society joined last year by the Engineering in Medicine and Biology society.
