Spectral analysis of periodic digital filters

The idea used to derive the spectral picture of periodic digital filters is a symmetry argument which is exploited through linear representation theory. This approach has the advantage to put in a common framework different approaches related to the representation of periodic digital filters by linear time-invariant ones.
