A non-invasive technique for microwave dosimetry - theory and experiment

A totally new technique for performing quantitative measurements of the SAR distribution in a biological body has been presented. Extending the technique to bodies of more complicated shape appears to be essentially a matter of computational efficiency. Although the probes used were far less than ideal, it should be pointed out that the geometry of the experiments (normal incidence) represents the wort case in terms of spatial signal frequencies. Thus it appears that the good simulation results warrant further experimental investigation.
