A novel leaky millimeter-wave linear slot array

A novel leaky-wave antenna operating at 30 GHz is introduced in this paper. The antenna investigated is a coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed linear array of closely-spaced capacitive transverse slots. Measured radiation patterns, gain and directivity of the structure are presented. This type of tilted-beam antenna could find use in broadband wireless communications, collision-avoidance, surveillance, and tolling systems.
