Method of synthesized phase objects for Fourier-Mellin invariant pattern recognition

We present a development of the method of synthesized phase objects (SPO-method) [1] for the rotation invariant pattern recognition. For the conventional method of recognition and the SPO-method, the comparison of the parameters of correlation signals for a number of amplitude objects is executed under the realization of a rotation in an optical-digital joint Fourier transform correlator.
