Compact UWB slot antenna with wideband-notched characteristics based on rectangular SRR

The paper proposed a compact CPW-fed UWB wide-slot antenna with wideband-notched Characteristics from 5.03 to 5.85 GHz, realized by one rectangular SRR etched on the patch. The antenna is fabricated onto low cost FR4 substrate, and its overall dimensions are only 21×19 mm². It provides impedance bandwidth of 112% covering from 3.1 to 11.1 GHz removing band notch with acceptable radiation gain and nearly stable radiation pattern.
