From the perspective of editing design to explore design modes of interactive e-books

With the digitization of information, planar (graphics) editing design systems have also began to emphasize interactive and innovative design. Therefore, interactive e-books have begun to be produced through Graphical User Interface in editorial design. In this study, the WIRED e-books were taken as the research sample. Then, the three aspects (form, function and behavior) were analyzed through the theory of Design Core. Furthermore, the design modes of interactive e-books are investigated from the viewpoint of editing design. Regarding research methods, the visual effects of WIRED e-book editing design and interactive design were analyzed and explored through the method of content analysis. Finally, the investigated results in this study are provided to the designer engaged in the design-mode method related to interactive e-books. In addition, the editing design and interactive design of the WIRED electronic books are analyzed. There are three focuses to this study: (1) The relationship between design elements and interactive design function was investigated during editing design. (2) Through the foreign case of WIRED interactive e-books and the theory of Design Core, the design thinking, interactive function and user behavior of form, function and behavior of e-books were investigated. (3) A number of design modes of interactive e-books were investigated The results of this study are expected to provide reference for interactive e-book design models and applications for enterprises, publishers, designers and school teaching.
