The article examines the role of training in the development of cognitive activity of students in the framework of professional self-determination. In this connection, defines the essence of the concept of «cognitive activity», «professional self-determination», «training». The authors point to the requirements for the training and to the principles of the training group. The authors identify types of training used for the development of cognitive activity in the framework of professional self-determination.
