2D high-contrast AlGaAs waveguides for nonlinear applications

We report on the fabrication of freestanding AlGaAs waveguides with an air cladding and a high index contrast based on a standard AlGaAs wafer. We measured their propagation losses. When optimized, our devices will be suitable for nonlinear applications.
