Microwave mammography with a small sensor and a commercial electromagnetic simulator

We propose a microwave mammography system with a small sensor and a commercial electromagnetic simulator. The sensor has features such as multiple polarizations to collect a variety of data and fixation of the breast by suction to prevent imaging mistakes. A commercial electromagnetic simulator is used to model the sensor accurately and enhance reliability. In addition, a new calibration method that transforms the S parameters into a scattered electric field at each feed is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed system is demonstrated by a numerical experiment.
