Light field image compression based on preprocessing and high efficiency coding

Novel devices are able to capture intensity and directional information of the light field in a scene originating high data bitrates. Novel compression techniques are hence required for facilitating light field storage and transmission. This paper presents a study of the performances of a compression method based on light field preprocessing followed by high efficiency coding.
