Performance evaluation and design of low cost and high power density single phase flux switching reluctance machine for ventilation based on 3D inductance function

Single Phase Flux Switching Reluctance Motor(SPFSRM) is a new class doubly-salient brushless motor, which is emerging in recent years. To accurately describe the electromagnetic characteristics of FSM, the high rank continuous nonlinear inductance function was formulated based on the method of Fourier expansion and numeric fitting. A 2kW 8/4 pole prototype FSM was designed and the experiment was done. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the nonlinear model established can simulate the operation characteristics of FSM drive system practically.
