Design evaluation of conventional and toothless stator wind power axial-flux PM generator

This paper evaluates the effects of toothless stator design on the performance characteristics of axial-flux permanent magnet generators for use in wind power generation. The method employs a quasi-three dimensional, 3D, finite element analysis, FEA, where computations are done using two dimensional, 2D, finite element analysis.
