Crosscorrelation of non-maximal sequences

Most of the results concerning the crosscorrelation of linear shift register sequences over finite fields focus on maximal sequences. We consider the periodic crosscorrelation of sequences (a/sub i/) and (b/sub i/) where (b/sub i/) is obtained by a decimation factor d from a maximal sequence (a/sub i/) and d is not relatively prime to p/sup n/-1. We look at the consequences of this generalization regarding the crosscorrelation function in general.
