Web printing paper tension control system

In paper printing industry paper tension is the important control parameter. Printing quality depends completely on the paper tension, quality of paper, quality of ink, humidity and room temperature. Among all these paper tension is under the control of printing machine. Qualitative analysis on the closed loop control system of paper tension reduces the printing error due to paper tension and researches are still going on. Matlab simulation on double PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) system is capable of controlling the two motors efficiently. In this paper, feedback control of web paper tension is simulated using double PID system.
