Abstract:
This paper presents, a compact frequency selective surface (FSS) having band-stop characteristics. This FSS achieves at least 35 dB attenuation to provide effective shielding in X-band. The proposed FSS is realized on low profile FR-4 laminate having compact unit-cell dimension 5 × 5 mm2. Most importantly, this FSS has polarization independent behavior at normal and oblique angles of incidences for both TE and TM wave modes.
