A practical application of behaviour modelling in ethorobotics

The main contribution of this paper is the detailed design of an ethorobotic test environment for simulating behaviour models, together with an implementation of an autonomous, creature-like behaviour model. The test environment is a robot which is, with the help of the implemented model, capable of detecting information about its environment and, by using this information, of modelling emotions. The emotional state of the robot directly affects the parameters of its movements. Our evaluations show that the presented robot can explore its surroundings, avoid obstacles and express its emotional state.
