The research on the design of the KU-band ultra-wideband RF receiver

This paper provide the detailed design of a RF frontend receiver system in 14GHz with intermediate frequency 1.6GHz, 1GHz radio frequency bandwidth. The receiver uses the traditional superheterodyne structure, able to obtain high receiver sensitivity and channel selectivity and small size. The tests' results show that the overall receiver performance is generally satisfactory. In the receiver, the gain flatness is less than 3.8dB, the overall gain is about 71dB. For the 800MHz QPSK modulated signals within the passband, signal EVM value is 24.6, SNR is 12.2.
