Educational process of pre-columbian American civilizations supported by a framework that integrates GoogleMaps to DotLRN

This paper describes the application of a framework that integrates educational web resources in the Learning Management System dotLRN. The case study was conducted in a school in the rural area of Cauca - Colombia. The LMS was used to support different areas of secondary education, applying the concept of b-learning. The evaluation was performed in the course of Geography in the 8th grade. GoogleMaps were used to locate the development of American Pre-Columbian Civilizations. For the evaluation of academic performance, it was compared the performance of two groups, the first group used the LMS and the other was taught conventionally.
