The Research of Distance Measurement Method Based on Mobile Phone MEMS Accelerometer

In the mobile phone GPS distance measurement, it is common that the measurement accuracy is not high and the performance is restricted by the signal strength. The MEMS accelerometer is used to measure the distance with the advantages of high sampling rate, high sampling precision and off-line measurement. However, due to the design defects of the acceleration sensor, the error of measurement results is very large. In this paper, by analyzing the two main errors of measurement noise and the drift error, the corresponding error elimination method was proposed in this paper, which can improve the accuracy of the MEMS accelerometer in measuring distance.
