An analysis of influence of different type of light sources to the power quality

Increasingly stronger diversification of residential, street and industrial lighting represents a certainty. Different types of lamps sold today put their mark on different power quality in terms of harmonics generated, the losses and power factor. In this paper, we studied the difference of significant different lighting sources, in terms of power quality parameters. Measurements taken have analyzed to find the harmonic content in different conditions. Paper focuses to harmonic generation and investigated the main light sources on the market; made frequency domain analysis to highlight the harmonics generated.
