Focus movement control for time reversal focusing microwaves

In this paper, we propose a method to control the focus movement of time reversal (TR) focusing waves. The focus movement is realized by proper design of the temporal excitation of time reversal mirror (TRM). Utilizing this excitation, the TRM can generate a sequence of time-delayed focusing waves and move their focal spots sequentially to the sampled spatial grids of the desired trajectory. With the proposed method, the focus movement along an “L”-shaped trajectory is successfully demonstrated by full wave numerical simulations.
