Potential of trajectory sensitivity theory using PSAT: Application on non-conventional PV power generation

Sensitivity is one of the important objectives for any kind of dynamic system. Dealing with disturbances from environment, depends upon the system sensitivity. This becomes far more important when the system is non-linear one. Behavior of a non-linear dynamic system is complex to predict, on the aspect of environmental as well as for in bound disturbances. The complexity proportionally related to its enormity. Being a non-linear dynamic system, power system comprises these all. From generation to distribution, the complexity desires a suitable predictive knowledge on different aspects. The trajectories sensitivity to its different operating characteristics could become a solution to this problem. The quality of the power, its non-conventional fraction as well as the tariff could be predicted by this manner. The power quality of grid connected photovoltaic (PV) system highly depends on dynamic nonlinear elements like operation process of the inverters, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) policies, solar insolation etc. A useful computational method is necessary for this purpose. The Power System Analysis Toolbox (PSAT) was found with varsity of factors to incorporate computation, at a minimum user resource.
