Two dimensional transient heat flux analysis through platinum plate

The main aim of the present work is to make analytical and numerical analysis for two dimensional transient heat flux with platinum plate. For the measurement of temperature with time having variable heat flux, a simple and accurate measurement technique is presented in this work. The simple transient one dimensional semi-infinite solution has been used to generate extremely accurate values for temperature and heat flux at any point of a finite rectangle in a convolution time with Green function and Laplace technique. A complex two dimensional semi-infinite problem is solved explicitly and evaluated numerically as part of the analysis. A one-dimensional transient heat transfer modelling is used to infer surface heating rates from the closed form temperature solutions. The analytical results are compared with MATLAB and ANSYS and it is observed that these results have a very good agreement with each other.
