Global supplier selection using intuitionistic fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process

Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set (IFS) is the extension of Fuzzy Set (FS) mainly meant to handle the vagueness and uncertainty. IFS can represent three different grades of function such as Membership Function, Non-Membership Function and Hesitancy Function. In this paper, we have extended the classic AHP and FAHP into the Intuitionistic Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process IF-AHP to handle the uncertainty. Each preference information are represented in the form of Intuitionistic fuzzy values. The paper develops an efficient method for checking the consistency and automatic repairing procedure was introduced newly in IF-AHP. This repairing procedure was not in the classic AHP or FAHP. The main drawback of FAHP is that, it is a time consuming process while making a decision. Thus, our proposed method can save much time and can be done without the participation of the decision maker. In addition to that, our paper also develops a Normalizing rank summation method for deriving the priority weights/vectors of a preference relation. The procedure of IFAHP is given in detail to demonstrate our results.
