A case study: Energy audit at AVBRH, Sawangi (M), Wardha

Energy audit is an essential factor for control of any energy management programmer of any firm to control its energy costs. The process of energy audit is systematic and methodological approach to identify and check the usage and wastage of input energy and hence attempts to adjust and reduce energy requirements. The resources are limited. So we have to make judicious and effective use of energy. Thus need of energy audit arises. This paper presents the brief idea about the energy audit taken at AVBRH hospital. In this paper, the importance of energy auditing and process of energy auditing are presented in detail. The identification of areas of energy wastage and estimation of energy saving potential in the different wards, OTs, different departments, OPDs has been made by walk-through Energy Audit and also considering the future expansion which may overload the panels of AVBRH Substation. For this reason it is necessary to plan new substation at the place of existing system in which, determined problems during Energy Audit can be easily solved.
